QUALIFICATIONS: 

Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field along with 4-7 years of relevant experience in Production Planning or a similar role that has strong data analytics, demand planning, and forecasting background.   Must have a high proficiency with MS Excel with strong utilization/background with V Look Ups and Concatenate If formulas.  Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands in an efficient manner.  Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written.  SAC advanced level user experience required. Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as being detail oriented and results focused. Previous SAP experience required, specifically within APO.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 This role is in a fast-paced environment that requires the incumbent to monitor existent metrics, analyze data, and partner with internal teams (Materials Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisors, Sales, Customer Service, and Product Management) to drive process and operations execution improvements. The incumbent will utilize data and known assumptions for action to work through continuous improvement optimizations to increase productivity and effectivity.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1.  Research new technologies and remain abreast of industry standards and best practices in production planning and demand management within the functional areas of SAP. Analyze potential impact on company systems and inform management of actions needed or other recommendations. Identify opportunities in current system design which will simplify, standardize and automate various business process.

          1.1 Analyze and report performance metrics and benchmarks. Compare and evaluate against current team performance metrics.

           1.2 Review production performance metrics and update planning to accurately reflect available plant capabilities.

 2. Perform project management for small/medium projects within manufacturing. Responsible for preparing project plans and coordinating with all key stakeholders including end users, business project managers, analysts, developers, and external consultants. Resolve issues and/or escalate them to management. Create test plans and perform risk assessments. Coordinate integration and regression testing. Plan project go-live preparation, go-live development and documentation.

          2.1 Retrieve and analyze data using Excel, SAC (SAP Analysis Cloud), SQL, Access and other data management systems to improve SAP planning to match                        reality and find improvements for cost reduction. 

 3. Work cross-functionally with other departments and stakeholders to present clear analysis.

           3.1 Management, customer service, and operational metrics.

           3.2 Perform root cause analysis to find originating issue(s) and address with key stakeholders appropriately

4. Plan and maintain production schedule within SAP APO (Advanced Planning Optimization). Perform business validation on any changes that are proposed by the SAP Competence Center. 

 5. Work with key stakeholders to gather business requirements. Design and develop solutions for manufacturing business processes for multiple entities in the North American Region using latest available SAP functionalities and best business practices. Coordinate development activities with other analysts and developers. Perform unit testing. Responsible for creating project documentation and business blueprints of Functional Specifications of Test Scripts. 

          5.1 Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data analysis to complex data mining.

 6. Provide second level production support for the tickets submitted by end users via internal system. Propose and execute configuration changes and/or enhancements to the existing system to resolve production support issues. Update status of assigned tickets in the internal system and inform business units accordingly. Responsible for communicating with end-users, providing training support (as needed) and working within agreed upon production support service levels.
