JOB SUMMARY:

Ensure total product quality within the TURCK organization. Resolve quality issues that relate to production, design, customer, and other areas. The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing quality data and applying continuous improvement principles and techniques to quality and manufacturing functions. Other duties include conducting training as needed for QA/QC methodology, concepts, and tools, and supporting the quality objectives of other engineering disciplines.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

The job requires a BS degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering along with a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience or an MS degree with 2-5 years of related experience. Must also have at least 3-5 years of leadership experience. Candidate should have a strong background in statistical techniques, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and FMEA protocol for making data-driven decisions. Must have hands-on experience with Root Cause/Problem-Solving methodologies and complete knowledge of documentation required to support new product introduction through manufacturing acceptance and customer delivery. Must possess strong communication and organizational skills. Experience in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma training is desirable. Accomplishments in applying Kaizen techniques, 5S implementation, or other continuous improvement activities. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Lead, coach, and communicate a clear vision for team members to follow.  Provide a clear understanding of TURCK’s policies and provide resolution to issues that arise.
  2. Develop staff according to their training needs and development.
  3. Progressively cross-train team members on various Quality aspects for continual development and conceptual understanding. 
  4. Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Quality Assurance, used as a tool to drive down the cost of quality in all areas within the organization. 
  5. Monitor and manage QMS Processes and Health
  6. Work with Turck Mexico and all other applicable Turck-affiliated facilities on product and technology transfer.
  7. Monitors daily work operations and provides direction to staff to communicate priorities and meet organizational goals with available resources. Coordinate with Production Management on all shifts to facilitate on-time completion of Production Orders. 
  8. Develops training materials. Educates and trains employees in Quality Standards, procedures, and work instructions.  
  9. Work with Product Development and Product Management to provide awareness and guidance to improve overall processes regarding raw materials with the development of new products.
  10. Work closely with Sales and Product Management to build closer business and technical relationships with key strategic customers and implement custom requirements at different levels of the company’s facilities. 
  11. Aid and guidance to Production to help them be fully knowledgeable, from a quality perspective, on how there can be a positive impact/improvement on their KPIs.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.
