Turck Launches CMTH Sensor with IO-Link for Smart Condition Monitoring

Track temperature and relative humidity in one device

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (February 1, 2024) -

Turck today announced it has launched the CMTH sensor for monitoring temperature and relative humidity in one device. Now users can more easily track environmental conditions over time. Tapping into the CMTH sensor’s IO-Link capability provides continuous feedback and remote monitoring options. If the temperature and humidity exceed specified limits, operators are alerted via the local switching outputs. Alternatively, cloud-based functionality can send out alerts via SMS.

This solution’s compact form factor comes in an M12 barrel-style body, ideal for applications with a small available footprint. Rated IP67, this device is ideal for manufacturing, warehouse and process automation environments where temperature and humidity are critical factors such as reducing spoilage or waste in food storage, glass manufacturing or greenhouse applications.

  • Provides cost-effective predictive maintenance via IO-Link capabilities
  • Improves sustainability by reducing product and material waste
