JOB SUMMARY:

Direct, coordinate and administer the overall quality assurance/control systems and all activities for Turck’s US-based Operations, to include but not limited to our Tech Park 1, Detroit and TEPS manufacturing facilities.  Work directly with Turck Mexico, Turck Germany and other globalTurck companies and vendors worldwide regarding global quality issues impacting the US-based organizations and US customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least a 4-year technical degree with emphasis on Quality Management or related technical field, with at least 10 years of Quality Management experience along with ideally 5+ years of leadership experience.  ISO 9001 and/or Six Sigma certifications are not required, but strongly desired.  Must have strong analytical skills, good verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, along with proficient computer skills.   Must possess a strong knowledge of quality issues, requirements, manufacturing processes, and compliance issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Direct the overall quality system activities for all of Turck’s US-based departments and divisions, ensuring total internal and external customer satisfaction.
  2. Evaluate, direct and manage warranty returns and provide failure analysis by working with all departments and all levels of Turck Inc.
  3. Work with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to resolve repetitive issues dealing with non-conformances.
  4. Maintain and update all QA systems and processes, procedures, plans and records for all departments/divisions within the Turck Inc. US-based organization.
  5. Address and resolve quality and design issues affecting suppliers worldwide.
  6. Direct and coordinate the quality inspection and testing of all products manufactured in the US.
  7. Direct and coordinate the quality assurance inspection of all raw materials received from all suppliers worldwide for Turck’s US-based operations.
  8. Work one-on-one with any customers concerning Turck Inc.’s Quality Management System (QMS) and perform customer satisfaction visits.
  9. Work directly with Customers, Marketing, Manufacturing, R & D, Sales, Product Management, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR and Product Support on technical matters to ensure all processes and policies are followed and up-to-date at all times.

  10. Manage, direct and coordinate the applications of American, European and International Standards (UL, CSA, FM, CCC, CE, MSHA, IEC, etc.) and participate in organizations/user groups such as ASQ, CCC, etc.

  11. Lead and coach individuals within the US Quality team.  Conduct ongoing performance acceleration/evaluation assessments and provide feedback to employees in order to help optimize their and the team’s overall performance.

  12. Communicate a clear vision for the team and provide information and clarification on Turck policies and resolve issues that may arise regarding policy and/or performance misalignments.

  13.  Perform other related duties as assigned.
