QUALIFICATIONS: 

B.S Degree or equivalent in skills and experience.

Five years of experience in a warehouse production supply environment in a leadership role.

Working knowledge of standard inventory management KPI’s and metrics.

Specific experience in SAP Inventory management and supply area required.

Ability to utilize MS Office products, specifically high proficiency with Excel, to create reports and presentations. 

Understanding and application of LEAN principles.

Experience working in a Tier III ERP Warehouse Management (WM) environment.  

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 The incumbent is responsible for the management of all personnel and processes associated with material put-away, storage, transfer, picking, and delivery to production for the warehouse.  They will be responsible for coordinating and leading a daily process that includes specific employee roles and tasks.  The department is required to provide support for three production shifts (Days, Nights, and Weekends).  It is expected that a large portion of this role will be spent on the floor actively managing the departments’ processes, providing situational guidance, and tactical help as needed.  Additional requirements include the ability to extract and perform ad hoc reporting.   As a member of the Logistics leadership team, the incumbent is expected to be a subject matter expert in their area and provide effective input and coaching to the team on all Logistics related projects, initiatives and employee performance enhancements.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Leadership of team members at the Plymouth, MN location involved in all production supply stocking, material movement, inventory management, staging, and Kanban tasks.

Cultivate, coach, and build a staff of capable employees to ensure critical tasks are being done consistently.  Develop personnel in order to advance the skill set of the overall team and leadership within the group.

Implement and maintain goals developed in collaboration with the Director of Logistics that support the overall strategic plan, initiatives, and goals of the company.

Collect and communicate metrics related to the performance of the Stockroom.

Support all SAP and ISO requirements. Monitor and maintain processes by observing control points, monitoring personnel and resources, and reporting and correcting any deficiencies.

Communicate and develop partnerships with internal stakeholders to provide information needed for their effective and timely feedback to customers.

Ensure proper equipment is present and in working order, distribution supplies are present in sufficient quantities’, and workstations are properly maintained at all times. 

Responsible to ensure personnel are trained and following best practices.

Ensure the department has continuity plans in place (processes and personnel).

Develop and train team members in the systems needed to efficiently and effectively perform all tasks related to their daily functions. 

Maintain 5S+1 program requirements keeping work areas clean and safe.

Perform other duties as assigned.
