Job Summary
As a Pricing Analyst you will lead comprehensive evaluation and strategic analysis of complex special pricing requests across cross-functional stakeholders including Regional Sales Managers, Business Development leaders, and Distributors. You will develop and implement pricing strategies that optimize margin, retain key accounts, and unlock new business opportunities.
What will you do?
- Strategic Pricing Leadership: Lead complex special pricing evaluations for high-value opportunities, multi-year contracts, and strategic accounts. Provide expert consultation to Regional Sales Managers, Representatives, and Distributors on pricing strategies for factory and process automation solutions
- Advanced Analysis & Decision Making: Conduct comprehensive market analysis, competitive intelligence, and profitability modeling to determine optimal pricing strategies. Make independent decisions on pricing approvals within established authority levels, considering long-term strategic implications
- Quote Management Excellence: Prepare sophisticated pricing proposals using advanced features of Turck Connect quote program. Develop custom pricing models that align with Turck's strategic objectives, competitive positioning, volume projections, and market dynamics to ensure profitable growth
- Business Development Support: Drive Turck's growth by conducting thorough opportunity assessments aligned with company goals and P&L objectives. Make strategic recommendations on complex deals based on comprehensive analysis of costing, margins, market potential, and competitive landscape
- Contract Portfolio Management: Lead the strategic management of special pricing agreement (SPA) renewals, negotiations, and pricing optimization initiatives. Develop and execute pricing increase strategies aligned with EBIT goals while maintaining strong customer relationships. Implement proactive communication protocols including 60-day advance notifications
- Process Innovation & Automation: Lead cross-functional projects to design and implement automated quote management systems. Drive process improvements to identify and resolve costing discrepancies in Turck Connect. Champion automation initiatives to enhance sales force effectiveness and opportunity tracking. Analyze and report outcomes in CRM systems for continuous improvement
- Strategic Communication & Collaboration: Interface with senior leadership including Division VPs, Directors, Business Development Managers, and Product Managers on pricing strategy interpretation, contract negotiations, and policy administration. Provide expert advice on complex pricing scenarios and market dynamics
- Team Collaboration & Mentoring: Collaborate daily with Special Pricing Manager on strategic initiatives and complex cases. Mentor junior pricing analysts and share best practices across the team
- Market Intelligence: Maintain comprehensive competitive intelligence database on pricing trends, discount structures, and market positioning. Conduct regular competitive analysis to inform pricing strategies
- Customer Excellence: Partner with Customer Service to resolve complex quote issues and ensure exceptional customer experience throughout the pricing process
- Technical Analysis: Perform advanced competitor product analysis and cross-referencing to Turck equivalents using multiple resources and technical expertise
- Strategic Projects: Lead and participate in special projects that support business objectives and operational excellence
What will you bring to the table?
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 6-8 years of progressive experience in pricing analysis, inside sales, or customer service with demonstrated expertise in B2B industrial markets. Previous experience with Turck products and go-to-market strategies highly preferred.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proven ability to work independently on complex projects with minimal supervision and tight deadlines
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously
- Strong business acumen with understanding of P&L impact and strategic decision-making
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex modeling and data analysis
- Experience with CRM systems and quote management platforms
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-stakes pricing decisions

Working Conditions/Physical Demands, Travel, etc.
The majority of the work is performed in an office setting with heavy phone and computer work where multi-tasking is continuous. This job moves at a very high pace and requires a person who is a problem solver and can make decisions based on information gathered from the field and internal co-workers.
