About This Opportunity

As a Supplier Quality Engineer II, you'll be a critical link between our organization and our suppliers. This isn't just about inspections—it's about strategic partnerships. You'll be a key member of our quality team, collaborating with engineering, R&D, and supply chain to qualify new suppliers and materials. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing robust quality assurance procedures, performing audits, and driving a culture of excellence throughout our supply chain.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Supplier Management
  • Develop and implement supplier quality assurance processes and procedures.
  • Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics, providing key insights to leadership.

Problem Solving & Collaboration

  • Lead efforts with suppliers to identify the root cause of quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Represent the Supplier Quality team to support Engineering and R&D in the evaluation and qualification of new suppliers and materials.
  • Coordinate and participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings to ensure containment of nonconforming materials.

Quality & Process Control

  • Maintain the supplier quality process in an audit-ready state.
  • Generate detailed reports and metrics to analyze supplier nonconformances.
  • Utilize advanced quality tools like PPAP, FMEA, and Root-Cause Analysis to ensure process control and mistake-proofing.

What We're Looking For

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or in a similar quality control role.
  • Proven experience conducting supplier audits and assessments.
  • Proven Track Record
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve quality-related issues through effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
  • A history of successfully meeting deadlines while working both independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality inspection development and testing methods.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Proficiency with quality tools such as First Articles, PPAP, FMEA, and Root-Cause Analysis.
  • Competency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Ability to travel occasionally for domestic and international supplier visits.
